*Rhythmic Gymnastics Alberta gymnast registration fee is included.
Gymnasts will spend the first 1.5-2 hours learning new rhythmics skills using games and other fun activities.
After a quick snack break, they’ll have a chance to explore different sports or dance activities as well as arts and crafts activities (1-1.5 hours). The week will end with a chance for gymnasts to show off their new skills in a routine for parents and friends.
No previous rhythmics experience is required!
Gymnasts should wear either a bodysuit or a tight t-shirt and shorts for classes.
Bare feet or gymnastics shoes only—no socks or tights.
Hair should be tied back and kept off the face.
Please bring a small snack (preferably something healthy - fruit, veggies, crackers, cheese) and a water bottle to each class. If the weather forecast is good, please bring running shoes and a hat so we can spend some time outside!
Classes start promptly at 9:00am and 1:00pm – please make sure your gymnast arrives slightly early so that she/he can fully participate in warm-up (good exercising habits start early!).
Apparatus is provided for ALL recreational gymnasts, however, RG equipment is available at United Cycle in Edmonton (10323 78th Ave, Edmonton).
A short 30 minute performance will be held for the parents at the end of the week (from 11:30am-12:00pm for Session 1 and 3:30-4:00pm for Session 2).
